Chemical Reactor Start-up Electric Mineral Insulated Cable Heater is uniquely developed to provide chemical plants with a safe, quick and efficient solution to the start-up. The reactors should attend the chemical reaction at a certain temperature which is provided by the start-up heater. The advantages of electrical start-up heater have been proven by the finished projects of Pasia for more than 20 years.
Compared to conventional gas-fired heaters, electrical heater offers compact, safe, remotely controlled and quick start-up of chemical plants.
For the processes in chemical, metallurgy and power industries, there is electric heater needed for the startup based in reactions that need important additions of heating power in punctual working moments.
Depending on the reaction kinetics and on its exothermic or endothermic nature, this energy must be furnished only at the beginning of the process for the reaction to start, or during the whole operation time to cover its needs for power.
First of all, two factors have to be taken into account to design this equipment:
The requested thermal efficiency.
The working pressures.
Heat exchange capacity: Up to 10.000.000 Kcal/h.
Air temperature increase: Up to 650 ℃.
Air outlet temperature: Up to 500 ℃ with fuel-oil and 650 ℃ with diesel oil or natural gas.
Electric heating skid consists of explosion-proof electric heater, base, safety valve pipe, inlet and outlet pipe, sewage pipe, on-site explosion-proof operation column, explosion-proof junction box and indoor non-explosion-proof electric control cabinet.

The core heating element of the heater is made of a new type mineral insulated heating cable. The heating cable possesses high application temperature, high mechanical strength, long service life and so on that are incomparable with conventional heating elements (electric heating pipes).
