A commercial neclear power plant contracted by Russian Technology Provider is being built at Rooppur Bangladesh, which is about 160 KM away from the capital city Dhaka. Rooppur nuclear power plant with 2 VVER-1200 reactors and the total capacity of 2400 MW is being operated for power supply to the whole country with the second phase EPC being operated.
