The light duty MI cable can be can be installed quickly and easily because of their small dimensions. Copper sheath, designed to be used as earth conductor, protects the cable from any mechanical stress like impacts, bending or flattening, providing a good appearance to the cable.
Light duty mineral insulated cables voltage rated at 300/500 V can be specified as from 2 to 7 cores, from 1 to 4 mm2 size.
Composition of Mineral insulated cable
Mineral insulated cable is a kind of cable which uses annealed copper as conductor, dense magnesium oxide as insulation and annealed copper pipe as sheath. If necessary, it can be squeezed with a layer of plastic outer sheath around the annealed copper sheath. For specially required occasions, a layer of low-smoke halogen free sheath can be applied.
