Electric Heat Tracing Technical Solution for Oil Terminal Use is an electric heat trace technology package which can be selected to be used on the pipelines, tanks, valves etc related to the oil terminals based on the project conditions and requirement. In winter, the climate is cold and the temperature is too low, which may lead to serious blockage of the oil pipeline when it arrives at the gathering and transmission pump station due to the heat loss and wind speed, etc., and the material in the pipeline cannot be normally transported. In order to solve the problem of oil pipeline freezing, the electric heat tracing solution should be used to heat all the main pipelines on the wharf.
Through the field investigation, including the local temperature, low temperature, wind speed, and from the safety point of view, for the long oil transmission pipeline of large diameter, the occasion of high heat tracking temperature, and combined with the heat loss of comprehensive consideration, the constant power electric heating trace should be used, because the highest maintenance temperature can reach 150℃, and the highest exposure temperature is 205 degrees, which can completely maintain the normal operation of the oil pipeline. For longer pipelines, the use of series constant power electric heating insulation products, the electric tracing is large and the service length is longer, up to thousands of meters. While for the transmission distance is not long, for higher safety, corrosion resistance consideration and other high requirements, mineral insulation heating cable can be considered. For the distance to be at least 5 kilometers, the skin effect heating solution can be considered.
The series constant power electric heating tracing product is 5~12 times longer than the general constant power and self-limiting temperature electric tracing, so it is especially suitable for long distance transmission pipelines in petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, wharf and other industries.
In the performance of electric heat trace products, the outer layer of electric tracing belt has metal shielding braided layer, which not only has the function of heat transfer and heat dissipation, but also can improve the overall tensile strength of electric heating, and can also be used as a safe grounding wire.
