Instrument Box Electric Heater of Mineral Insulated Heating Cable is a developed product of technology international cooperation for heating instrument box based on magnesium oxide mineral insulated metal sheathed heating cable. It comprises of MI cable as heating element and aluminum alloy radiator into finished heater product. Through heat conduction oil or solid powder, the heat can be transferred from the heating element.
It has two kinds of structure, one is integrated with the heater and the instrument fixing frame, and the other is the ordinary structure without the instrument fixing frame. These two are for clients’ selection and installation convenience.
Product features of instrument box electric heater:
1. It has the advantages of small volume, large heat dissipation area, low surface load, rapid heat dissipation to the instrument box and high thermal efficiency.
2, Safe use, good explosion-proof performance, equipped with multiple overtemperature protection.
3. The outer shell of the instrument box is made of stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum plate or plastic. The inner wall is laid with insulation material and electric heating cable, which can accurately maintain the temperature of the box body and ensure the normal operation of all kinds of instruments.

Applicable to all kinds of application fields where need to maintain a certain temperature to prevent the instrument medium solidification or crystallization.
Working principle
The built-in electric heater is a purely resistive electric heating load. The thermal energy is radiated through the metal sheath of the MI heating cable to heat the surrounding medium to achieve temperature rise or heat preservation. The whole process is completed in the conveying pipeline.

1). High thermal efficiency: The heating body of the built-in electric heater is placed in pipeline with full contact to internal medium. The generated thermal energy can be 100% absorbed in pipeline, so the thermal efficiency is high.
2) Stable performance: The materials of MI heating cable and temperature measuring cable are made of inorganic insulating materials. Their physical and chemical properties are quite stable at their rated service temperature.
3) Long service life: metal sheath of MI heating cable and temperature measuring cable are sealed, seamless, mechanically strong and no heat aging. The sheath material resistant to medium corrosion can be used to ensure long-term service life for more than 30 years.
4) Easy to install: The product is built into the pipeline without internal fixing, and the external connection is simple.
5) Safe and reliable: The complete set of products is equipped with reliable electrical protection measures, and its automatic operation is safer, more explosion-proof and reliable, and fully meets the HSE management standards for oil and gas fields.
